Veterinarians play a vital role in our rescue work!
Many of the homeless cats and kittens that we rescue in West Tennessee need medical intervention to address various illnesses and ailments. At Purrfect Match veterinary costs are over 50% of our annual budget.
Support our Vet Fund
Please help ensure that our Vet Fund always has the resources to care for the cats we rescue.
Here is a breakdown of how we help our cats:
Basic well checkups and exams with necessary vaccines cost $150 per cat.
Spay or neuter surgery can cost $50-$75 per cat.
We help unwell cats with complex surgeries which can cost thousands of dollars.
We pay for medications and other supplies to manage ongoing illnesses; these medications can cost hundreds of dollars per month.
We help 400-500 cats per year with their vet needs.
Although we have access to discounted vet services provided by the Veterinary School at Mississippi State University for complex cases, our veterinary costs surpass $150,000 each year.
